A great sushi meal in Georgetown, DC

Today I wanted nothing but to eat. And to eat well. That is the honest truth. I was really contemplating going to Five Guys or Chipotle, but Alicia and Anastasia were quite against those options. Or at least they had ruled Five Guys out. Alicia has yet to try Chipotle, and when she does, perhaps I will write a new post with pictures of her loving it.

Instead we decided on Chopsticks, a Japanese sushi restaurant in Georgetown on Wisconsin near Filomena's and the idiot Rugby store. Anastasia and I have been there a few times before, and it's always been a great meal. But it really hit the spot this time, so I decided to put some pictures up so when I'm hungry I can go back and look.

I highly recommend Chopsticks if you are looking for sushi in Georgetown. Benihana in the Georgetown mall has closed down, and so Chopsticks I believe is really your only option. But it doesn't matter, it's so freaking good.

From left to right:

  • avocado salad. Fresh and delicious, amazing sauce.
  • crispy philly roll: cream cheese + other goodness and fried crispy stuff on the outside.
  • spicy yellow tail roll and eel roll: not the high end fancy stuff, but solid. fresh and tasy.
  • scallop volcano: amazing. you must get this. caviar and scallops and other fish things and an incredible sauce.
