Kronborg Castle and Louisiana Museum, Denmark

I looked on the Copenhagen tourism website, and found there were two pwning things we needed to see- the first was a castle called Kronborg and the second was an art museum, the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art. The castle also goes by the name of Elsinore… sound familiar?! That's cuz you've read Hamlet!!! Yes, this is the castle where Shakespeare's Prince Hamlet was going out of his mind because his mother was sleeping with his uncle. Apparently the Louisiana museum is very well known in the contemporary art world. And I love modern art!

Copenhagen and the Great Danes

Kathleen and I spent a couple of days in Copenhagen, Denmark after I left Strasbourg. Denmark pwns and I had a really good time learning about the city, the country, and the (great) Danes. We stayed in a Best Western Hotel located near the train station, which happens to be quite central to everything. Copenhagen is not big at all, and neither is Denmark. The CIA World Fact Book says there are 5,500,510 inhabitants according to a July 2009 survey.

The trip from hell, with all the grueling details

I’m going to talk about the act of leaving Strasbourg- that is, attempting to leave Strasbourg, in order to meet up with my German cousin Kathleen in Magdeburg, Germany. The plan was to leave Strasbourg on Friday afternoon (12/18), get to Magdeburg at night, and then leave for Copenhagen, Denmark the next morning super early. Remember, I was leaving Strasbourg after 4 months, so I was schlepping my life around with me. The plan was: Strasbourg to Offenburg, Offenburg to Braunschweig, Braunschweig to Magdeburg, arrival time a little before 9pm. Let me break it down for you.

We'll always have Paris

I’ll never forget that line from Casablanca. Quite uninspiring taken by itself, yet seemingly meaningful and deep when heard in the film. And what a good city to always have; seriously, this place pwns. It’s expensive, at times sketchy, and very intimidating, but it’s still Paris and it still makes my heart beat a little faster.
