Tonight I went to my first Drupal meet up in San Francisco. It was different from all the monthly meet-ups I have been to back on the East Coast. Here is a list of some of the things that were mentioned.
If you are working with files on your Drupal website that you need to keep secure, meaning for example no one except user with role X can see the file, there is a module for you. It is called Private Upload module.
This has happened to me twice now. When going from a local install to a live server, my ImageCache thumbnails get totally screwed up. They just wouldn’t display. If this happened to you, don’t freak out! It’s a real easy fix, and we’re gonna get it taken care of right inside our Drupal admin.
Drupal has a system of input filters that allows you to granularly control exactly what type of markup your content editors can publish. This comes down to things like which HTML tags they are allowed to use and if they can reference JavaScript/CSS files with style tags. No problem, just slap on Drupal’s built in HTML filer to kick out all that harmful stuff, and let them publish away.
